Privacy Policy
Information I collect
When you contact me or purchase a service, I may collect information you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, questions, and other information necessary to respond to your inquiry or fulfill your order.
Please avoid submitting confidential employer information, proprietary business details, sensitive personal information, or information about other people that isn't necessary for your request.
How information is used
I use information to communicate with you, process orders, provide purchased services, respond to inquiries, maintain business records, and improve my website and offerings.
I do not sell customer personal information.
Forms and payments
Contact inquiries submitted through this website are collected and delivered using Airo Inbox, a managed form and messaging service. I use Tally to collect service requests for my UX Career Q&A service, and Stripe to process payments. Payment information is handled through Stripe's payment infrastructure. I do not directly collect or store full payment card numbers.
These providers process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable agreements.
Website analytics and cookies
This website uses Google Analytics to understand website traffic and usage.
Analytics tracking is activated only after visitors provide the applicable cookie consent. Visitors can manage their preferences through the site's existing cookie-consent controls.
Analytics information may include pages visited, referral sources, device/browser information, and general usage activity, depending on the configuration and consent settings.
Information sharing
I may share information with service providers when necessary to operate the website, process payments, deliver services, or meet legal obligations.
I do not share customer questions or answers publicly without separate, confirmed permission.
Optional educational-content permission
Customers may separately choose to allow their questions and answers to be adapted, anonymized, and incorporated into educational resources, including blog articles, social posts, and free or paid guides.
This permission is optional and does not affect the purchase, quality, or delivery of services.
I may shorten, paraphrase, combine, or generalize material to reduce identification risks. I will not intentionally publish names, email addresses, employer names, or other directly identifying details.
Customers may withdraw permission before publication by emailing info@staceylaugel.com. Published material may not always be retractable from third-party sites or previously distributed copies.
Testimonials and identifiable endorsements require separate permission.
Data retention and privacy requests
I retain personal information only as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain records, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable legal requirements.
For questions about personal information or requests for access, correction, or deletion, contact info@staceylaugel.com. Requests will be handled subject to applicable law and legitimate retention obligations.
External services
This website may contain links to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Terms of Service
General
This website is operated by Stacey Laugel. By purchasing a service, you agree to the applicable service description, payment terms, and policies published on this website.
UX Career Q&A service
The UX Career Q&A service provides two personalized written answers to focused UX career questions for a one-time introductory price of $59 USD.
Each submitted question must contain 10–500 characters.
Answers are delivered by email within 10 business days following successful payment, using the email address supplied at checkout.
The service is entirely asynchronous and does not include scheduled calls, video meetings, portfolio or résumé reviews, extensive research, detailed project plans, ongoing coaching, or follow-up questions.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact information and sufficient context for their questions.
If a question falls outside the service scope or requires clarification before it can reasonably be answered, I may contact the customer to clarify the request or offer a full refund if the request cannot be accommodated.
Nature of advice
Responses reflect my professional experience and judgment. They are intended for educational and career-development purposes.
Specific employment, promotion, hiring, salary, or other professional outcomes are not guaranteed.
Payment
Payment is required when submitting an order. Payments are processed through Stripe.
Intellectual property and permitted use
Customers may use their purchased written answers for their own personal and professional career development.
The service does not transfer ownership of my pre-existing materials, frameworks, or other intellectual property.
Any public adaptation or reuse of customer-submitted questions and personalized answers is governed by the separate, optional content-publication permission.
Changes to services
Service descriptions, availability, and pricing may change for future orders. Changes will not retroactively alter the agreed terms of an existing purchase unless required by law or agreed with the customer.
Contact
For service questions, contact info@staceylaugel.com.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy contains separate sections for different services and products. The currently available service is UX Career Q&A.
UX Career Q&A
Cancellation before work begins
Customers may cancel and receive a full refund at any time before work begins.
For this service, work begins when I start reviewing the submitted questions to prepare personalized answers.
Cancellation after work begins
Because this is a personalized service, change-of-mind cancellations are not eligible for a refund once work has begun, except where required by applicable law or otherwise specified in this policy.
Delivery delays
If I cannot deliver the purchased answers within 10 business days following successful payment, the customer may request a full refund instead of waiting longer.
Questions outside the service scope
If a submitted question cannot reasonably be addressed within the service scope, I will contact the customer to discuss clarification or offer a full refund if an acceptable solution cannot be reached.
Duplicate or incorrect charges
Duplicate payments and billing errors will be investigated and corrected, including refunds when appropriate.
How to request a refund
Email info@staceylaugel.com with the name and email address used for the order and a brief description of the request.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method. The time required for funds to appear depends on the payment provider and financial institution.
Legal rights
Nothing in this policy limits consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
